  • A lawyer with over 20 years of experience advising local and multinational companies on M&A, corporate law, and governance matters, with a focus on the consumer goods, infrastructure, energy, and life sciences industries. Before founding Salgado & O’Ryan, he was a partner in the Corporate and M&A practice at DLA Piper Chile, where he led complex, cross-border transactions, including reorganizations and infrastructure financings.

  • Marco combines a strategic and practical approach, integrating financial, regulatory, and corporate governance criteria. He is recognized for his technical clarity and commitment to excellence.

  • He advised Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. on its sale to Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec (CDPQ), a transaction valued at over US$7.2 billion. This made CDPQ the second-largest wholesale energy provider, after Hydro-Québec.

  • He represented Innergex in its acquisition of 100% of Aela Generación S.A. and Aela Energía SpA (332 MW in the Sarco, Cuel, and Aurora wind farms) for US$685.6 million.

  • He advised American Tower Corporation on its purchase of Telxius Towers Latam Division and on its acquisition of towers from Entel in Chile and Peru, a transaction recognized as Latin America’s Transaction of the Year 2021 by TTR.

  • He assisted Bupa Chile S.A. in the sale of its stake in Corporación Médica de Arica S.A. to RedInterclínica S.A.

  • He advised American Tower on the purchase of more than 3200 antennas from Grupo Entel, an operation valued at USD 772 million.
